spark plug tool

lads could ye help. i have a gpx and cant find socket to fit. all the sockets i have tried are either too short or physically too big. where can i find a socket to fit. gfalls suggested looking in boot but its aint there.

An ordinary spark plug socket won't fit as mitsi the crafty ******** have added a lip halfway down the plug tube if you don't have a mitsi socket in your kit the way arround it is this get a standard plug socket, (check it's the right size with new plug then grind a flatdown the length of the socket (about 3mm off it not to much or it will weaken) and voila it will fit down the tube... jobs a good'n

Kenkeo, if you can't get a lend of a genuine plug socket, I'd be inclined to buy one. steelroe and ricerocket are worth contacting in this regard.

Halfords by any chance? Got a good one for the GR unless the depth or something is completely different (I know plugs are a different size) It's not hard!
