DIALS ON EBAY AVAILABLE IN LOTS OF COLOURS

Postby karlf » Fri Jul 10, 2009 11:55 am

They aren't a very well known brand, there called cyberstork. But thought the might interest some of you as the are available in lots of different colours. You can choose the colour for the main body of the guage and the numbers, so sure to match anyones colour scheme. There even available in a carbon fibre effect too and all for only €47 with free postage. Thats not bad!

good find, it's nigh on impossible to find replacement illuminated dials for the FTO. Visual performance seem to be tricky to get hold of, and KMC always seem to be out of stock.

pity they're not glow dials though,

I believe KMC also do a range of coloured non-glow dials for the FTO.

Good stuff, had em on my last car. mine were 120mph though. mine wasn't delimited like yours though.
(Are the Ralliart FTOs delimited with a converter chip, or do they just have different dial faces over the originals?)

I haven`t got a clue to be honest :smt102 dials on mine count just miles (no kms) and they`re 180s
I`d say they were delimited by importer rather than factory but how? Good question

Can you take a close look at the MPH sign on the speedo to see if its a sticker (i.e. stuck over the KPH indicator)? I can only assume that Mitsi delimited the cars on import and either swapped the dials or took the easy route and used a sticker.

actually CJ, that rings a bell, remember seeing "m/h" on a Ralliart one as opposed to "MPH" seem to remember the K being covered or scratched out.

If thats the case then a convertor chip was used to recalibrate the speedo for MPH i.e. also delimited.

I got the ultra bright LED's in Halfords, they come in a pack of 4 and cost about 7.99 per set. the LEDs have long leads attached and are pretty robust. I realise there are cheaper ways of doing this, but it works really well. there is a LED inserted into each individual button, I wanted to match the colour scheme of the headunit so went for a blue and red combination.

They're made by prism and come in a blister pack, they come in blue, red, orange or white I think. I'll fit them for you no problem if you buy them. you'll need a total of 11 for the whole panel. and if you have tiptronic transmission you'll need another 6 LEDs.

I'm pretty sure Sinlessgunner did a guide on how to do it.
