Cant get this B******* auto filter off! :twisted:

Is it left or right hand thread?

Stab away...make sure its a long screwdriver. Unscrew anti-clockwise. Remember to put a bit of oil on the new one to ensure a good seal :wink:

Turn anti clock wise, best way to get them off is with a set which fits each type of filter, but usually only mechanics have it. Those straps and chains I find are a waste of time.

Cheers all, yeh those strap things dont work, wish i had one of the filter socket things but as you say only the garages really have them.

Had to stop last nite it was doin my head in lol

Gonna go a give it another shot now :?

Done it :D had to take the air filter box out and stuff and stab it with a screwdriver !!

Glad thats over!

So i have done my brakes and brake pads, Anti roll bar drop links (rear) Anti roll bar bushes (rear), just washing my car then im sticking my new alloys on 8) 8) 8)
