Nasty bump

Postby ikeane » Sat Jan 14, 2006 9:15 am

Had a young lady run into the back of me today. Damaged bumper, boot lid, lights, maybe rear quarter panels. Her insurance is going to cover it but I'm wondering will the garage be able to get these parts handy enough? Hopefully I wont be without my baby for long :(

Really sorry to hear that.. Hopefully yourself and the young lady are both alright.

If your garage can't source the parts you should be able to pick them up second hand..Not entirely sure how it would work out insurance though..

I know a place in the UK that can ship parts to Ireland fairly fast..

I got a Rear bumper with all brackets & 2x tail lights from them before...Bumper & brackets was 100gbp lights were 40gbp a pop.. Don't think that was too bad..mind you they still needed fitting and painting..

According to the girls insurance company I should have to just hand the car over to the garage and I'll get it back in its proper condition. Hope so.

make sure you get a few quotes for work, dont try to cut any corners, it was her fault afterall, dont let her decide on who does the work, thats your choice within reason
