I asked the guys to do the emissions at around 3500rpm for 'high idle'. In fairness they spent a good 5 mins getting the cat nice and hot even though i drove the b*llox out of it and got the engine oil temp up to 110 deg C!
I was getting worried as a few lads left other cars and came over for a look and even the receptionist was spending time at the car! I think she wanted to know what it sounded like as every now and again your man would give it a rev! Then later on more guys kept looking under at the quad exhausts so I was getting pretty worried.
Got called and was expecting the worst but no it PASSED, soo bloody happy. I recently changed the lambda sensor, cat and engine temp sensor.
What's interesting to note is that I did the test back in December and failed on emissions, have hardly used the car since only on motorways, had the wheels etc re aligned before first test and there is a fair bit of difference (imbalance) in the suspension and brake tests. IE, the imbalance in Dec was maybe 7% for front axel while in January ON A DIFFERENT LANE in same test center it was 14%! That to me is a lot. Something maybe they should check out as that could be the difference between someone passing and failing and having to fork out another 49 euros plus.
PS, left on Viper Induction kit and crankcase breather filter in both cases while running on Maxol 5% Bi- Eth stuff. (Car does run sweeter on Maxol's new fuel).
