I was heading up towards Drogheda yesterday on the new motorway doing a steady 80mph when a when a yellow (nortern reg) Ferrari 360 quietly overtook me. He was really cruising, probably only doing 85-90mph. I couldn't believe how quiet the car was as I was expecting lots of noise as he past me.
Got up to the toll booths at the bridge and was less than a foot behind the ferrari....... omygod
what an amazing piece of machinery. I've seen them in the flesh before but not really watched them move - the car sounds like it idles at 2000rpm - quiet but really mean sounding. The guy pulled off slow enough and criused - then about 50mts on he floored it........ WOW - what an amazing sound. I can still hear it. That sound alone is worth the €150K+. I wish I had a car that sounded like that. ......... .
