the xr3 has won ,,,,,the fto has been put on hold. the arches up in the loft ....started strippin it .and hopin to have her done in a few weeks..that way when i do get round to doin the fto i ahve somethin not to bad to run about in . although it is a ford... the shame.... :roll:

she is a classic.the idea is to show the fto once she is done and the escort side by side . lovely in there way . the girl hates it ......personally i will put my hawaii shirt on and wham blaring from the radio and drive up the main street with my top gun shades on . :lol:

if i 7dont do it now it will never get done......i once had a TR7........ for a year and a grand later i chopped it up and tossed it cause it was gettin in the way :oops:

Back in the day (about 12years ago) before I'd even seen an FTO I wanted a convertable XR3i. I met a friend of the family and his mates out in malahide and one of them had one. I was in the back, the top was down and it turned a few heads (not me the car) and I decided then and there I'd get one when I was old enough to drive. Never did in the end.
Keep us posted on your progress I'd like to see it when its done.

no probs,i want the fto in the garage long enough to do it all right again , checks.inside off boot , bonnet etc,,,,no point rushin it .so the xr will do for that . :roll:

Of course just because you pick one track that doesn't exclude the other.. but if you're going to associate a theme tune with the car you kinda have to pick one..

a free colour,,,,,a commercial colour. daf h3279, means bugger all . but you have frd 411 and frd 411 y ellow shade (frd ford) this colour is white but more a creamy .thinkin with all the arches sealed and the car flushed she may look okay .plus i can fill as many irn bru bottles as i want from work ,saves a bit off cash :lol:

If it was me I'd paint it blue, but it is a personal thing. If you can, take plenty of pics along the way, I'd love to see the progress.

with the rst bonnet does it have the 16" rst alloys. you should go the whole hog and get the engine and running gear of an rst aswell. funny you should mention this xr3i as my a.w.o.l. bros rst is just sitting waiting for the day to be reborn, and it really is an animal... bigger turbo, cams, scorpion exhaust n chipped. dam i want it for myself... even if it is a ford :lol:
