Bought it yesterday. Was worth the wait.

mcgon1979 - pick up an xbox 360 instead of the PS3 - much better selection of games (Halo / Gears of War / Project Gotham etc etc ) - and now the cheapest next gen console on available

I perfer the ps3 to the 360 for one your online is free no pay as you go like microsoft want.Second you get a blueray dvd player in the ps3 which alone is worth about 400 euro. The harddrive is built in from the get go unlike the xbox 360 when it came out you had to buy a memory card a harddrive and pay to go online, only now have they started to release it with the harddrive. My bro has one and he loves it but value for money =PS3

Picked this up the other day as well. Absolutely fantastic. Haven't gotten to play it as much as I'd like (very busy) but what I have played has been jaw-dropping.

I'd go for the PS3. Much more exciting console IMO, and it's where the future's at! There's a reason the 360 is so cheap...

I use the 360 mostly because of the online element to games like Halo / GOW etc - It will take a long time for the PS3 to raise their game to compete with games like these online.

It seems that you can browse the internet within the game. There is a listings site on it called Craplist (Craiglist) and one of the ads on it is for:

"Men of Arab descent with backpacks wanted for cruel practical joke."

Sheer genius.

I'm beginning to regret selling the XB360 about a year and a half ago, on the upside, I sold it for 360 euro! What sorta money are they going for now? I'm assuming MS are still pushing the Toshiba HD-DVD player thats going to be redundant in the near future (Betamax anyone?). If Blueray was an option, I'd consider buying another one.

HD-DVD is effectively finished already now that they have announced no more titles are being made for it. Xbox is about 279.99 now CJ. so you did well with your 360! :) I'd defo buy a PS3 for the blu-ray and hook it up to a sony 1080p full HD tv. The prices are due to drop dramatically on the 2008 range of Sony HD TVs as they want to try and increase their market share...

Well there are rumors that the xbox is gettin a blu-ray disc, but they have been around before. Lastest one is saying release in Q3, but I'm not sure is that just in the US or not. :?:
If anyone was interested, I could let my 360 go for a reaonable price. Its only 6months old, but I'm mental at work and its hardly been touched since christmas. I have Gears of War and Forza 2, so will be sorry to see it go, but if anyone was intersted you can PM me for further details.
