removing rear view mirrow??

Hey all, does anyone know how to remove the rear view mirrow on a 98 fto? I just dont want to try to hard and break it :D thanks

My first question would be why??

the first surgestion would be carefully but if you really need to take it off you'll need two things but it's going to be a pain to reaffix.

You'll need a heat gun and a single edged steel backed safety blade like this http://www.jewelblade.com/product/IND001.php

BEFORE YOU START YOU DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK :!: :!: :!: :!:

GENTLY heat the winscreen from the outside where the mirror is attached when it is WARM enough using the blade slide it inbetween the windscreen and mirror mount while using GENTLE force to pull away the mirror from the windscreen.

AGAIN I STRESS DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK :!: :!:

I have seen people break their mirrors trying to do this. i'm of the school of thought if it ain't broke leave it alone
