my beloved FTO completely damaged

Postby ranchiliu » Mon Jan 09, 2006 12:07 am

today is my saddest day in my life, also my luckiest day, i had an very bad car crash on my way to sligo from galway, as u know the weather, road condition was so bad this morning, cold, foggy, and icy road, i skid the car, and completely loss of control, it slided to the other side of road, and went underneath the road barrier, i couldn't believe i walked the car alive, that is the luckiest thing, the everyone passed by even the garda, said i am extremely lucky with that huge impact, i took few pictures from my mobiles, i will post them later on, i just had few minor cuts, and bruises, what a shock, i watched the news later, few people were killed as road traffic accident this morning, the degree of damage was similar to mine, i realize how lucky i am.......my poor fto, i just have done few extras on it over chritmas, the guy who towed the car said, it is totally unrepairable, anyway i have to inform my insurance company tomorrow and see what the story is, thanks god, the road barrier didn't penetrate the car, as it did, it might cut my head off, it was so close, i really miss my fto, as it is the best car i have driven so far, i love it so much, i would consider buying another fto, it all depends on the insurance company, one thing for sure, my premier is going to be gone up sky high, anyway, afterall, i am lucky to be alive.....

Sorry to hear that. The angels must of been looking after you :) Hope everything works out for you in the future.
You know, somebody actually complimented me on my driving today. They left a little note on the windscreen, it said 'Parking Fine'.

Sorry to hear about your crash ranchiliu, at the end of the day, a cars a car and can be replaced, lives can't, the main thing is that you walked out it the crash without serious injury. Move on and put it down to experience, look forward to the search for another FTO!

Metal is Metal... The important thing is that you walked out!

Was driving from Galway to Dublin last night and it was super slippy..

Saw a few accidents on the way too... Ford KA vs. Horse Box & 4x4 (No Horse) ... Didn't look fatal (Fortunately) but loads of Garda around.

Cars in ditches all over the shop.. Not nice at all..

Ranchiliu keep in mind that you may experience slight dizzyness and such even up to a couple of days after the crash.

It sounds like it, thank god you're ok. As Maud says, look after yourself over the next few days, and while you're waiting for the insurance to be sorted out you may as well start to look for your next FTO, its out there waiting for you.
