Clarkson & May were on telly recently picking up some Top Gear award and mentioned that Hammond was out and about but could not make the awards on the advice of doctors because of the bright lights or something to that effect.
There was no mention of when the New series of TG would be on though. Maybe waiting for Hammond to be able to see in the dark
