That I have to get bits replaced.

Cat-Back to replace centre section failure.
Tappets (you can buy these at camskill right? If anyone knows a cheaper option please let me know)
Timing Belt.
Water Pump. (Anyone know the best place to get my hands on the belt and pump)

Its gonna cost over a grand :( But at least she will be nice and smooth.

Try Kempys in NZ, always good for this sort of stuff and not that expensive either.

Cheers CJ
I have placed an enquiry now. Might be a bit on the heavy side to ship from there though.

In my experience, its cheaper to order from Kempys than the UK for some parts (shipping included). For example, I've bought strut braces from them in past and saved 30% over UK prices.

You the man CJ.

Camskill = 259GBP - €382 (no delivery)

Kempys = 520 NZD - €267 (delivered)

Hell yes.

I assume my pre facelift GR is a DE3A FTO 6A12 DOHC (NON MIVEC)

Correct, 6A12 is the engine and DE3A is the beginning of your chassis number which basically identifies the model.

Does that include the tappet tool, needed to fit them?
Think them things are like gold dust to get a hold of.

All you really need is a valve spring compressor, it will make the job that bit easier.

If anyone thinking of doing this job themselves, I recommend you take a read of this guide:
