I'm planning on trying a mod if I can get the parts cheap (by cheap I mean for nothing or as close to 0 as possible) I'm gonna try fabricate a piece to extend the front bumper to accomodate the fitting of side skirts so the bumpers match the lowered height of the skirts from the ground. I'm going to try make a lip and attach it to the front and rear bumper.
As I've never done anything like this I'm not looking to spend that much on parts to attempt it (for fear it'll be a mess when I finish and a big waste of time and money).
What I'm looking for is a front and/or rear bumper depending on how I attempt to mod which will determin exactly what I need. Slight damage shouln't be a problem as I'l be cutting it up anyway.
If anyone has anything that I could use let me know. Again nothing too new or too expensive as I'm not entirely convinced I'l make a good job of it.
As for a reason why I am even contemplating doing this. I like the idea of it being a one off. The fact no-one else will have exactly the same mods is really appealing.

Karl, I've a damaged front pre-facelift bumper that you're welcome to FOC. Theres damage on the drivers side (split), it could probably be fixed but if you're planning to chop it up then this shouldn't be a consideration.
PM me if you're interested.

Its been done before.
The bottom section of the classic bumper cut off and added to the bottom of the front bumper on the FTO - kinda of a biplane effect. Only prob is to carry it off you'd need to do some work on moulding the look and that would cost more than the price of an aftermarket splitter in the first place.

This one is super cheap - though a little agressive for even my liking! - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FTO-HIRO-STYLE-FR ... 240%3A1318
