Gearstick thread

Postby Sgt_Major » Wed May 19, 2010 3:54 pm

Does anyone know what the thread is on the gearstick?

I'm having some difficulty finding an aftermarket one to fit.

As gearsticks tend to be different types of thread across a wide range of models - the majority of aftermarket gearknobs I have seen have come with a range of sleeves that go on over the exisiting thread to suit - not ideal but unless you go model specific then its difficult to get precise gearknobs with thread measurements for the FTO.

I have a couple of Nismo gearknobs that are a perfect fit for the Zed but unless you go OE Mitsi or Ralliart then you are likely looking at universal fitments.

To add to what MfFTO said, a lot of aftermarket gearknobs are attached with grub screws i.e. flexible fit to most gearsticks.
