Ok, thats not good (I've only ever seen ruby red oil come out of a tip box). Bits of friction plate in the mix possibly?

no, not that i was looking though. It was definately black anyway. And was unbelievably difficult to get the filter off. The car still drove etc just not well. Im thrilled with the manual but the car still needs some general servicing to be tip-top. Hopefully going to get it to Rory's in the next few days. Denso's should have arrived today from Camskill but still no sign. 2m id say. The tensioner still needs to be done and I have MX 5 repeaters to put on, also i fear i maybe on the path to becoming a fog switch victim...
