hi there new member Have v6fto auto and have a problem with the alternator could someone tell me how to remove it as there is very little room I have all the bolts and wiring removed there does not seem to be enough room to remove it
i'm having the same problem . seems like it's nearly impossible to take out .

If ur doing it from above manifold needs 2come off.if ur doing it from below top mount on suspension strut needs to be loosened to lower enough to get it out
Sounds like a good idea to drop the strut I was going to loosen the top engine mounting and jack it up a bit .But the strut sounds better nice one will have a battle with it later on . thanks
Pop the drive shaft out, it's a bit of work but not too hard. Search the forum here as I have more detailed info from a while back. Just have some gearbox oil handy depending on the angle that its jacked at as it could leak out. Might be an idea to change the oil anyway!
