Photoshoped needed? change the colour of the car

Postby WelshFTO » Thu Mar 11, 2010 7:53 pm

Im thinking of having the bonnet sprayed black with a vent in the middle, roof black and take the spoiler off the back and boot spoilerless and black

what do you reckon?

I wouldn't bother, you have a great looking FTO as it is.

i'd spend the money on getting a set of DCuatro skirts moulded into the body and maybe some nice wheels.

don't like it myself. mind you I have a white GPvR that looks like your original pic so I'm used to that and prefer it best. Why mess with it as it looks so good already.

I prefer the original myself. Never liked the two-tone look outside of Need for Speed or the Fast and the Furious.

Try photoshopping in the vents on the white car though, see how that looks. As per Colm, I reckon some new wheels and maybe a few more subtle mods and you'd have a stunning FTO.

Sorry
i'd go against the masses here lol, if you are after a bonnet, EPRacing have recieved fibre glass creative style bonnets from japan last month. :)
iirc shade under £300 gel coated ready to rock an roll. De-spoilered though? youre nuts the back end looks the mutts as it is.
Your wheels are stonking too ;) who'd have guessed theyre standards lol ... tbh though, i dont think id be tempted to two tone to the lines youve done there though. id probably look at coming to the top of the wings and following that smooth line all way back to the rear..
Two Tone FTW !!!

I'd wouldn't bother with the two tone unless the black parts are CF.
Thats a nice looking FTO as is - it'd be very easy to feck up the look if going two-tone.

I'd be looking to put a nice set of 17's on there and maybe even some nice 4 pot front brake calipers and discs if your budget allows.

I think that the FTO scene has changed quite a bit from the earlier days - it was the in-thing to cosmetically mod your FTO to the last - now as the FTO has gotten older and more retro looking - IMHO its now the in thing to aim for a more concours approach and have the FTO looking standardish and as clean as possible. Mods should really be kept to more subtle and/or performance enhancing such as lightweight alloys, big brakes, suspension, induction & exhaust, clear indicators, HIDS etc

maybe one of the lads with a black fto might let you switch bonnetts to get an idea i have a steel silver fto mivec and was thinking of a similar type of paint job did you watch custom my ride they did a two tone black and white lambo last week looked savage but would defo take the line of the curve over the arch as there is no line to follow from bonnett to roof to boot and it might look a bit out of sync but if had a white fto i would defo follow this option
