She's still at the mechanics, should get her back before the week end.

I presume you're saying might cos its Alfa electrics?? (I'm in no position to make hairdresser jokes, but Afla one are still fair game..)

Ah no, well wear, looking forward to seeing it. When I changed car last, the Alfa GT was looking kinda tempting.

So, big question, does it share any characteristics of an FTO, specifically a V6?

V6..??? I'd love to say yes, but alas no. :( Just a 2.0 TS. Couldn't afford the tax on a 3.2 V6 lovely..! :)

I agree with your comment about Alfa electrics. They can be a pain alright. Mostly niggling little things, rather than anything that stops you diving them.

Ah, I'm only slaggin about the electrics, someone was going to with their reputation, but heard of plenty of cases too where they were fine. How did you find the 166 over the time you had it?

The 166 is a very refined drive, comfortable and well planted. Not sure how, but it will cruise in top gear at less than 30mph, without any engine rumbling. It sings at around 4000 revs, picks up its skirts, and flies. Impressive for a big heavy saloon.

The Spider is a completley different animal. Surprisingly spacious inside with the roof up. I'm 6 foot 2..!
Roof down, and 30mph feels like you're doing a ton.. Makes you think your butt is scraping along the floor. Scuttle shake takes you by suprise, every time you hit a matchstick on the road. Every pebble you drive over, the vibration is transmitted up through the steering wheel.
Its great fun. :smt003

Re-read that. I should get a job on Top Gear, move over Clarkson..
