Hi all,

here we are, the FTO is finally 100 % registered in Switzerland !

Cost me 150 € in fees for the plates;

But alose cost me 2000 €of repairs and parts.. exhaust, 4 tyres, calipers, suspensions, rust to fix,and the most expensive : modify the lights to have them on the good side..

I ended up fitting this instead of the stock ones: http://www.teilesuche24.de/ersatzteile/ ... 1?c=700243

But here we are !! Probably the first FTP to be legally registered over here :)

Fair play, lot of work to get it done, you must be very happy. And its now a genuine "rare" FTO! :)

Good Job Masa. Why exactly did you need to change the projector light unit? Any change to the headlight setup?

thanks ^^

Well, had to change them because their beam is directed on the left side of the road. Which is forbidden over here.. so had to find and then fit an unit aiming for the right side, as every car in UE (except UK and Eire of course :p ).

This was a pain.. and the only one. For all the rest the "expertise" (swiss NCT) was flawless , even the exhaust was ok . (cost me a big service though).

well, the FTO is now parked for the summer and will be used again around november :p

Was looking to buy a brand new one a bit more powerful (New megane RS was in sight) but as I had to buy a brand new 207 for my wife, money was getting short, even in Switzerland.

So I went on to do something I had in mind for a long time, and bought a brand new Kawazaki Z750 along with the A permit ;)
So I'm gonna use it on the summer and the FTO in winter (with the amount of snow over here, a bike is out of the question between November and end of March :smt003 , to give you an idea, last sunday I went snowboarding and yesterday I came along some snow with the bike and yes, it's almost may here too XD)

FTO has now 220 000 Km on its ODO so I think it's time to give some rest to this old lady ;) But will still be there on winter to help me :D

About the bike: thrust is tremendous! When I took the FTO for a ride last week I felt like being sat on top of a tortoise :P 3.5 sec for 0-100 km/h that's what I call accelerating ;) Having 106 bhp for only 230 kg helps a lot I have to say ;)
