TWINS (my new car)

Postby d_dan » Wed Feb 25, 2009 4:26 pm

Ok since I setout with Project "Panda" I wanted to get the FTO onto the track as much as I can and would take it off the road alltogether,

But this would mean that I would need another daly driver, I wanted something Fast, stylish... well hey I wanted another FTO.
So Iv gone and got one...

Shes in England at the moment and ill eb collect it in the comming months or 2 as im rather tied up with "Panda"

Ok why am I so excited, Because shes the only other TURBO mivec manual in the Uk that im aware ok (Woo Monopoly...  )

Heres some of the spec
manifold, pipe work, braided lines, turbo, intercooler, ecu (emamage blue) with internal modifier, no need for laptop, all the gauges you would need, D2s, strut braces, engine bay carbon, boot, spoiler, bonnet, brakes, rear lights, some very nice additions, Apex power manager, intake temp read out, wide band lambda, digital boost gauge , 2 racing seats, harnesses, carbon splitter, carbon rear air damn, carbon sill extensions, has a modified centre console with single din and 2 gauges build in, 18 inch Chrome and Carbon wheels.... to list but a fraction of the spec.

could be two things,
1 it could be raised to let out soem of the heat, I was thinking of doing that with mine,
or it could be the carbon bonnet not having 100% perfect lines

Mots likely this, its a common 'mod' on turboed motors to reduce under bonnec temps, all you need is a few washers to raise up the bonnet.

Dan, looks like a cracking motor on the outside, best of luck with it.

Its for cooling.

Used to belong to Misterbishi on the UK forum - its been in several UK tuning mags over the years. I'd say its had an amount on money spent on it.

Its not the only turbo Mivec though -isn't there a Red TIp Mivec for sale on the UK forum?

Well wear Dan - it certainly looks a cracker.

Congrats! Dam work firewall blocking pics... I remember Misterbishi's FTO though, major amount of carbon and dials in the inside. A much admired motor!

Is this the one that sii is selling on the FTOOC? Looks nice but with a rusty chasis it would put me off. Suppose it wont matter if your only using it as a track car, they dont need an NCT do they?
