ME BELT SNAPPED!!!!!!!

Postby AL » Sat Dec 16, 2006 4:33 pm

its the outer belt, the one nearest the windscreen, but is damaged the other belt too, was the one that broke the AirCon belt?

any ideas where to get em in a hurry and cost.

lastly , it looks a easy enough job to do yourself, mught be a little fiddly, any do's and dont's before i start.

cheers guys

AL..

Replace both belts at the same time - you might as well..

The you can get the belts for 30-50 euros .. and it takes approximately 20-45mins to replace them..

You don't even need to jack the car up!

Al, see the Parts list page: http://www.fto-ireland.com/parts_listing.html

Check this out also:

Any good motor factors should be able to cross reference the Mitsi part numbers, that said, Gates belts should be widely available.

If they haven't been done before then you should change aux belts and tensioners - http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m3b0s9p0
