Postby d_dan » Fri Apr 04, 2008 11:04 am

Guys was flicking through the trader this morning and of course had to look and see was there any FTO's for sale.

asking price wasy either 12 or 13 grand!

Totally overpriced.
Of course it will allways depend on the condition/year/model/mileage of the FTO but no way should you need to pay more than 9K for the best thats out there unless there has been some serious mods like big brake kits, turbo or perhaps a concours model (never seen one of these - perhaps in the future when it gets rarer).

Can't say for sure without viewing it in the flesh.

The value on a car like an FTO (or Zed for that matter) will depend on how quick you want to sell.
For your car IMO - a relatively quick sale 7.5K
Wait for an enthusiast/petrol head to come along and put value on mods and you might get another 1K.

Or you could mention your FTO has 390bhp and wait for some muppet to take the bait - http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/445218.htm

I quite like the wheels on that car. It's a fine example of an FTO even if he has added 200 BHP to it :D

But the interior I no likee :smt078

I love the interior! It really makes it a show car. A good interior I think adds loads to the looks of a car.

Not my cup of tea either.
There's no mention of BHP, he must have found a conscience...

Its removed now....WTF!
He must have had more calls querying the bhp than enquiring about the car.
I also reckon there has been more than an FTO ad or two changed over the years due to sledging on here.

Well I paid 11k for a 1999 Version R last year but it was immaculate in fairness... i think 12 or 13k is way too much even if its a total stunner with 40k km on it.
