Well I got the bumper back...
Before
After
Now I'm thinking of maybe getting the centre seciton of the roof sprayed black to keep in line with the black on the bumper!!

Looking good - I'm impressed that was fixable - yer man clearly has some skills in the filling and sanding department.
Well wear..
I'm not too sure on the black roof thing - but it might look good.. I had similar thoughts for the FTO but then a saw a picture of it done and I reconsidered..

Nice one, very tidy job. Do you mean bring a line from the bumper, up the bonnet and on to the roof? It can look very well on some cars, but I'd say it'd be worth a photoshop before you get the masking tape and roller out.

No, just the centre section... something along the lines of this... The bonnet would be left untouched!!
Any one any good on photoshop!!
Oh and yes this guy is very good, and very reasonable too, anyone who wants his number let me know, he's a bit out of the way but worth it!

Well judging from the first couple of pics, the black roof looks very well, and I like the way the silver is left at the side, defines the pillars well. Looks a bit like it has one of them fancy merc glass roofs actually.
If I get a chance, I might have a go at some photoshopping later.

Nice job on the repair.
Re the black roof - I think it would need to be balanced with a CF front lip and/or rear blade. I'd def leave the pillars body colour as per above pics.

Yeah, I was possibly thinking of getting the rear spoiler blade done as well... The pillars of course would stay the same colour!!! I don't think the two tone effect would look good!!

Bit of a contradiction there Dave
but yeah, I know what you mean.

Ha yeah I suppose it was...
What I meant was, the top half fully black and the bottom gun metal, including the pillars and boot etc, two tone!!
That wouldn't look good!!

Really - for looks or did you have other issues with it? Splitting/cracking?

No no, I love carbon fibre, sure you've seen the interior of my car, but I had a bonnet before, and I'm not entirely sure it'd suit the car, not only that it's an expensive route to take!!!

Definately don't touch the bonnet!
you should consider getting the roof wrapped. it's basically vinyl that gets heated and stuck to the roof. means it's not permanent. there was a new-ish red Golf with this done at the show in Limerick (indoors, just by the door, beside the silver Hilux)

I'd be of the same opinion.
Dave - Envy on the UK Zed forum did just this so he may be the guy to talk too.
Combine with a V2 spoiler with a CF blade (like mine) and it'd look very well indeed. You'd likely just need to purchase the blade part to combine with your existing spoiler.

This is exactly what I saw over the weekend per my '350z spotted' post. Full top half of the car was done in black with bottom silver - It looked very well (except for the spider
)

I preferred your earlier work Tom!
Dave, you should contact Vision FX in Walkinstown about getting the roof done, they wrap entire jeeps etc
a plain piece of material should be a doddle for them.

Cheers for the replies guys, I reckon I'll give this vision fx a shout and see what they can do!!
As for the carbon blade... Who did you get yours from Shane?? I have a feeling getting the blade on it's own would be a pain!
