I don't believe I've ever heard of anyone having an FTO gearbox swap done over here but I know a load of guys in the UK have had it done through Japco. The main issue would be sourcing a 'box over here, you might be looking a while. In saying that, as long as you've got a good mechanic, you should be OK. Daz dropped a new Tip box into his, I know its not a conversion but he may be able to give you some advice nonetheless.

To my knowledge mate no-one over here has gone down the route of a conversion, i did consider it myself when my tip box failed alright but ended up as cj said putting in another tip box, i have posted up somewhere on this site what you would need for doing conversions, but i ain't got the time at the moment to find that thread for ya, but if it is a conversion you want doing i would highly recommend getting it done over in England by Giles of japco, he really knows his stuff and to date has done i believe over 50 conversions, and was a valuable source of info for me when fitting the tip box.

Oh i forgot to say just as a quick heads up its not just a gearbox you'll want you will also need a clutch and an ecu and a few other bits and peices, but thats just a quick heads up for ya. check for the other thread for more info.
