Matter of opinion but I reckon that you'll struggle the pull this one off tastefully.

I think if the quality and finish was good, this might have potential. I think it has been done, someone on the australian site IIRC.

Purely down to personal taste. I think it's Audi's attempt to do new BMW halos. Halos were nice but the Audi ones seem pointless and IMHO don't look well.

Give it a miss Colm the boy racers are startin to do this on their clios already, so no matter how tastefully you do this allways gonna be a stigma attached, guilty by association if you get where i'm coming from BTW respectable lookin halo kit on sale in FTOOC shop comes with complete fitting kit, only downside, need to split the headlamp unit to install. i.e oven job!!

I was going to order these myself. Its not to everyones taste but I say go for it, put them in and see what you think. If you dont like the look of them take them back out. That is my plan anyway and for €22.50 and a few hours work getting them in (& out if necessary)its not going to cost a fortune to find out. I think the positioning could also make or break them. I didn't consider putting them where you have shown but imho it looks good.

I wouldn't do it if I was you. These aftermarket kits are nothing like the OEM Audi units - they use small little LEDs that aren't really that bright looked tacked on.

I personally love the Audi A5 and R8 lights - they seem to use a huge size LED that is extremely bright. The A4 uses a smaller LED and I think this version looks naff.

Anyone know how Audi do these large bright LEDs - they seem to be bigger and brighter than on any other marque.

Big no no from me. Audi lights are for Audis, Lexus lights are for Lexus, I knew it would start happening same as it did for the Lexus lights and pretty soon every little supped up crap box will have them.

Ah no, I was only slagging. I actually agree, that car has a bit of presence.
You have to admit its not normally the first manufacturer you think of when you hear the word style.

Mitsubishi wouldn't be known for regularly delivering the goods either!

TO be fair, Speedster and Calibra aside, Opel haven't exactly been wowing us either, now with GM group slimmed down a bit, they might give us daycent Opels.
VW can pull off having multiple brands with varying degreees of poshness, but GM couldn't.

I dont about Mitsi not delivering Colm, FTO, GTO, Eclipse, I think they're all seriously styled good looking cars.
But ya the Insignia is after bringing up the view of the rep car in my eyes too. Just a bit though, not a lot.

Old Eclipse was a dogs dinner IMO, the new one is quite nice. Always thought the GTO was a bit lardy and not nearly as pretty or well proportioned as the FTO. I love the agressive styling of the Galant (and the front of the new Lancer )

Well CJ's VR4 was a stunner from the front, I think it had a new Mustang look about it, had one of those behind me today and it was very like a vr4.
Personnally I dont mind the Eclipse, I'd have one if only they were a little more powerful, the old ones I think were only 200 bhp. As for the GTO, I love them, especially in white or black, had a white one beside me on the dual carraigeway today, was wondering was it twin turbo, and as if he read my mind, he proved it was, never let it be said they have no poke! But they are a car that people seem to love or hate. The one thing I'd change about them is the headlights, not a big fan of the eyebrow type thing going on, but still love them.

i cant decide if i like them or not.... i think done wrong they look completely naff, but done right they might look savage!! Havent seen many DIY jobs up close but ive seen pics of some and they look terrible!!!

I love the R8 lights though and if they were being manufactured for the fto I would buy them!!! but i dunno would i try it myself!!!
