Toyota Caldina GT4 (3rd genration)

This is basically a JDM carina/avensis estate. I like it, much better looking than the stodgy current avensis available here.
The GT4 comes with 4wd and fitted with the 2L 3S-GTE engine producing 260PS
This looks like a great style/ performance package especially for an estate car. If I had a few rug rats and accessories to transport I think this would be high on my list of "weapon of choice". I think toyota have stopped production in Japan though. The next generation avensis estate perhaps? The Japs always keep the best stuff for themselves Anyone ever seen one on this side of the pond?

I was left sitting by an older shape of these not too long ago - I didn't even attempt to keep up CRAZY power for an estate.. Yer man had some mental eaftermarket zaust fitted so it sound like a lowflying aeroplane..

It said GT something on the back of it - went like the clappers.

The older shape one (2nd generation) is the same shape as the avensis estate ('98 onwards) available here in Ireland. Nowhere near as nice looking -same performance though.

I'd say they surprise quite a few people

you're right the old one looks like a bit of a granny mobile, but it is certainly no slouch..
