Cleaning marathon

Postby Bernard » Sat Apr 05, 2008 9:33 pm

I took advantage of yesterdays good weather and gave my P&J a good seeing to
A good wash, a coat of colour magic then a coat of autoglym polish and finally a coat of sealant.
I also gave the exhaust a polish and cleaned all the glass, inside and out.

While I was at it I said I should give the engine bay some attention...

8+ hours, the wife thought I was mad but I'm delighted with the result.

And for all you eagle eyed critics out there, that bit of lint is gone now.

Nice job Berno, once you give the enine bay a good clean, its easy to keep it clean for longer

Cheers CJ, I've been wanting to do it since I was put to shame at the Clare & Limerick meets. By the way, I see I've been Dublinised

I gave everything a quick wipedown with a wet rag.
Covered the electrics with cling film.
Sprayed everything with autoglym engine & machine cleaner.
Worked it in with an old paint brush then hosed it all off.
Another quick clean with son of a gun then finished with autoglym bumper care.

I'd say the wife thought you were mad alright - you've got a list of beauty products for your car that's probably a match for her own !
