gearbox noise

ok. went to meet paul to get the side skirts and things.and noticed a noise from the gearbox.sounds like the diff is faulty.. :( when i take foot off acc u can hear like click click click..i heard this before and it always been diff problem

only changed the gear oil 2 weeks ago and done no real miles in it.!!!have i done something wrong im thinking??
i used 75w/90 semi oil.and drained it and filled her up unil overspill came out like any manual box..dont think i done wronge?

and if the lsd diff is feck can it just be replaced and do u guys know were 1 can be got?

or am i looking at a second gearbox? :?

can anyone tell me is 75w/90 semi the right oil for a manual lsd gear box..

and what is the right timing belt change mileage for a mivec engine i cant find in autodata.

no they dont have..i might rebuild it if u can replaced diff bearing.from mitsu

yep..just checked car. i was right diss is making the noise.. starting to removed now to see why. hope its just some diff bearings. :smt104

I don't have a LSD diff in mine but I used fully synthetic in mine because thats what the FTO engine manual said to use. I think is was the engine manual but might have been the service manual.

I don't have a LSD diff in mine but I used fully synthetic in mine because thats what the FTO engine manual said to use. I think is was the engine manual but might have been the service manual.


as a few said search is your friend..lol

i found on here use 75/85 or 75/90. so it was the right oil i guess just very unlucky. didnt think mivec gearbox's gave trouble :k

yep. but theres a snap ring clip on the output shaft behind the seal in the bell housing and i dont have the tool to remove it. :| .so ordered the tool and have to wait. .

gearbox split now.diff is ok. just all bearing making the noise. :D hoping to be driven again next week
