Postby hhh1234 » Fri Oct 05, 2007 10:26 pm

Why did i bother to race my mate in his crx tonight. came home and saw a nice stream of water cumming from under the car. i think it is cumming from the coolant but not 2 sure. any ideas. its cumming from the left hand side of the car.

It was too dark to check. just put a tray under the car. it was accually a very close race did some twisty stuff and some drags. neck and neck till about 80 then the fto starts to pull away. how much would a pipe be to replace

If the leak is passenger side - are you sure it's not just the coolant expansion tank ? in which case this is normal to have some discharge at times.

If it's the drivers side then it's probably a new water pump you need - I have the same issue currently.

Advice - if you're leaking, keep water topped up at all times, so make sure when you stop to fill up the water. Make sure you fill by taking off the steel cap just to right of engine block as you look at it from front of car.

I this racing was of course done on a closed track and what have you..
tests like that are good to weed out weak points in your car - just make sure theres a back up plan for getting to work on monday :-)

So who won?
