brake conversion

brake conversion

been to a local breakers near me and they have a gto sat there could anyone tell me if with some work , these will fit onto the fto cos there cheap and i need bigger brakes :wink: need bigger brakes with future mods see and these should be good enough if they can be fitted

cj does that link not refer to a gto kit made for the fto as opposed to actual calipers and disc's straight off a gto as the first question was about

Have to be calipers from turbo GTO.

And you will need to manufacte mounting brackets for the calipers

listen i am a metal worker by trade has anyone any pics of the bracket required would like to see whats involved in making it

while were on the subject.im taking the ap racing brake setup off fto to put onto my own. is it just a simple swap or do i need anything else for them

Assuming you're transplating from one FTO to another I can't see how you would need extra kit.

That's a skill that could come in handy!

I dont think that pictures are up -anywhere- as the brackets would probably be the part that yields the biggest profit from the kit that RB sells.

looks very basic some 13mm and 5mm mild steel plate a mig welder a bench drill and a small band saw to cut the curve i could easily make them with the mentioned tools will look into fabricating these if i get my garage opened
