I thought all post 97 models were Facelift and were fitted with the dischare headlights?

In theory thats correct mate, but it depends on the date that the car was registered, one made in 96 might not have gotten registered till 97 its the same as the theory behind the GPvR's their supposed to be post 97 but there are a few pre-facelift models, kevin from england has one, a late model 96 white.

Discharge headlights were a factory option from 97 on and are standard on the GPvR.
