Exhausts

Postby Dave » Thu Jun 08, 2006 8:15 pm

well my exhausts have finally packed it in, has anyone got any contacts for replacing it, it's a custom job and i'm looking for a single exit both sides, camskill/funky etc only do the quad.....
i'm not sure two single back boxes are the way to go again as these ones are fecked now!!

any ideas?

I like the quad - the blueflame is a high quality exhaust and sounds savage. You've already cut a hole in your back bumper and I don't know of any off the shelf twin exit singles - looks to me like you either go custom again or blueflame quad.

If custom then theres a place in Mullingar - http://www.motechireland.com - they deal with a custom exhaust place there (not powerflow) and they seemed to know what they talking about.

Blueflame has been ordered!!

got the one from the cat back cos i've already got a decat pipe, i assume that's the only difference!!

i wasn't majorly keen on the twin pipes but had a look at yours and decided that it does look 8)

Yay! - you won't be disapointed - sounds savage on the GPX anyway. Already had the camskill decat pipe already as well - no prob with fit. I was very impressed with the quality of this exhaust.

got this exhaust in yesterday, ordered it tuesday, two days from the uk, better than our own postal system! anyway, that's an issue for another day!

i have to say the quality of the exhaust is sh1t hot, fitted it within an hour and the only reason it took that long was because my old one had actually been welded at one of the points and i had to cut it apart!

it sounds 8)
so anyone thinking of a quad system, i'd highly recommend this, and i'd recommend Rickrocket to purchase it from!!

any chance of seeing a photo of the new exhaust? :D
You know, somebody actually complimented me on my driving today. They left a little note on the windscreen, it said 'Parking Fine'.

nope not yet, the back box isn't sitting right cos the rubber hangers i had weren't suited because of the previous custom job so Ricerocket is sending me on some today, then i've a new bumper and skirts that i want to get fitted and i'll post pics of the whole lot together!!

Quick question...

..Whats so terrible about powerflow?..

I've never heard good or bad about them but it is one of those "brands" the keep popping up in the UK mags..

well i just think that the exhaust they did up for me wasn't up to scratch especially seeing this new one i have, it's so much more solid and one of the pipes from the cat back had a massive hole in it, and it's probably only 2 years old!
that's just my experience of them, i think shane had them do some work for him before and he was happy with the results!

I see...they should totally last more than 2 years... Is there not some sort of lifetime warrenty on their product?? Cause that does sound a bit crap..

(Or is it a life of product warrenty.. a "this will last till it breaks." type thing?)
