Golf GTI MK3

I wrote off my golf gti big time last weekend! i am regaining my memory and mobility but am wondering what to do with the wreckage.
the car cost so little (£800) that there is no point putting it through the insurance. the recovery yard that collected it are invoicing me £150 pickup and £12.50/day for storage. Is there anyone that would pay me a token amount for the car to put towards the recovery bill as i am reluctant to pay the recovery firm knowing full well that he will break the car for parts and make some more money out of it or is this just the nature of the beast or should i just cut my loses and pay up and forget about the car?

apparently the luck of the gods was on my side adrian. i think i lost consciensness in the car as it ended up on the roof but i managed to find my way home a mile away about an hour later and my dad drove me back to the scene where the ploice were already scouring the local fields for a body!
luckily i was so concussed i remember very little about it! 16 facial stitches and a fractured scapula so pretty lucky all things considered.

Sorry to hear about the accident Dave. Considering the amount of fatal accidents up in Donegal last weekend, you should count yourself lucky! You wrote off a car and injured yourslef in the process, it could be a whole lot worse. On a positive note, a shock like this can help put everything into perspective.

car was completely trashed hallion! i didn't even take it back off the salvage company. phone john beere in comber and see if he still has it
