Got the replacement buttons/letters off fleabay. Made the white background all by myself.. :) Why did no one warn me about replaceing the gearstick, and trying to get the little white bit for the plunger in EXACTLY the right place. Proper pain in the 'arris :x

I've got loads of plastic sheeting left, white or black, if anyone wants to have a go at making one. Easy enough to work with, but couldn't make the inner part coz its got two slots in it, and super glue wasn't strong enough..

There not, but I know where the stick should be coz it tells me on the dash....

They are very good quality though. Got them from a bloke in NZ off ebay. Had to send him a pic when I'd done them.. Nice guy.. :)

I noticed mine needs to be done and remembered this thread. I would like to attempt something similar, where did you get the plastic to do it? I'm not looking at changing the buttons (might just try getting them to light up) just the plastic bit that slides with the gear stick. I would like to do mine in silver to match the car, is silver available? Any help would be much appreaciated.

Got it off ebay, just search "plasticard" . I think he only had black or white, but there must be silver somewhere..!

Thanks for the offer I'll keep it in mind if I cant find silver stuff suitable for doing my own. I found a few offering silver plastic but judging by the pictures and discriptions its either too rigid or too flimsy for the job. I'll keep looking for some thing suitable and get back to you if I dont find it. Thanks again.
