Congrats gino, the fun begins now ;) Don't hesitate to ask in the event you need any info. Was it a private or trade purchase by the way? Whats the year?

Congrats Gino! Sounds excellent.

Get a few pics up when you get a chance!

Any plans to do anything with her? Mines arriving 13/14th (unless its delayed more again), think new set of alloys might be in order, want to put in a bluetooth phone car kit into it, and hopefully a rain/light sensor for the wipers & lights. Spoilt with the rain sensors in my Xsara...

Anyway, best of luck with it, keep checking out the forums!

Hey TF,

there's a Bosch one I fancy, has light and rain sensors in one, but not sure where to actually buy it: http://www.kraftfahrzeugtechnik-heute.de/k/en/start/product.jsp?mfacKey=BE_5_REGENS#

Here's a link to an article on the automotive market for rain sensors- Bosch, Kostal, TRW and Valeo from 2002: http://www.marketresearch.com/map/prod/1004841.html

Came across this one today, $119, rain only but if thats what you want, the Rain Tracker: http://www.raintracker.com, can buy online and all. It actually has installation instructions for a lot of cars, not the FTO but mentions the Eclipse.

Haven't installed one myself, one came with my Xsara as standard, fantastic - intermittent are always too slow or too fast, even with the adjuster the rain speed varies, the sensor sorts it out, very cool.

Got One!

Hi Guys,
Thanks for all the well wishes, she is a 95, and i bought her off the autotrader, she was in dublin, it was just a private sale. I was wondering does any one know where i can get the timing belt done around athlone or the west, (mayo, sligo), or even around dublin? theres also a few other things i want to get done like tracking, service etc. before i do much driving with her, if anyone knows a good place to bring an FTO, let me know.

Gino, if you're in Dublin, check out Paul Nolan, his details are on the Services page. There are a few owners from the west on the forums who should be able to advise you of a decent mechanic in that neck of the woods...

Hi Speedyboy,
If you have a name and number for him that would be great, does he know his stuff?, would he be expensive?.
