Water starts boiling with no reason

Hi lads strange fing i came home today and heard some noise under mine hood,water was boiling,but termostat in the dash boords shows that was normal,and under the car was some water drops can be that engine is leeking,and iff yes what major problem FTO have in this case?

The bad news - your water pump is probably on its way out and will need to be replaced.

The good news - you can still drive the car if y ou need to.

Urgent - bring water with you if you need to drive the car. Fill up the engine water level to the brim by taking off the small metal cap on the engine.

Don't fill the water into the reservoir that's boiling - that is the overflow !!!

I'd be hesitant to drive a car that's over heating.

Defo get it checked by a mechanic as quickly as you can..

As Kace mentions it's likely to be caused by a faulty water pump - but there might be other things to look at as well.. the temp sensor for instance..you might as well get it checked for peace of mind... also check if you're still driving around with the original hoses - could be worth getting new fresh ones so you can be reasonably sure they wont burst on you..

If the water is boiling and your temp gauge is normal then something is defo wrong. I would not drive it in tihs condition as it may cause more problems.

Could be a number of things. Is the water level low when the car cools down.

Water pump.
Head Gasket. Check the oil cap for water scum. Check coolant resevoir for oil.

Are the fans coming on

Is the thermostat working correctly.If neseccary remove the stat and see if the problem is still there. The sensor for the temp gauge is directly under the stat housing. I has a smaal black connection single wire.

Leaking or blocked Rad.

Leadking coolant hose. Any sign of water on the ground after the car is parked up for a while.

Start with the easiest pone to check and work through.

Forgot the radiator cap. Is the rubber seal perished on this. It prob work fine until the water gets very hot. Is there any brown discolourisation around the rad cap area

this morning i cheked and noted that water going from drivers side in the bottom,i think it will be water pomp and i had to fill water allmost with 5 litres of water,does water pomp is in same place like timing belt somewhere there?,does water pomp expencife? well it's a lot of broun like rust around cap,i think it was boiled before i buy this car,i thin it would be good idea to flush sistem with some kinda cleaning luiquid

Looks like the water pump is gone alright. 5 litres is almost the enrtire volume of coolant. Better to use coolant instead of water with an aluminium head.
Needs fixin ASAP

Also a good time to change timing belt if its up for a swapout anytime soon, 2 birds and and all that...

Guys, is there any benefit in replacing the thermostat at the same time as the pump in the event that the collant has boiled already?

by the way lads i'm looked in internet to buy cam belt,alt belt but i don'y know what model i have,but it's non mivec,soo i thinking mabey no diferent what model if non mivec or it's some kinda different?

2.0 L non mivec is a diff belt to mivec.
