just fitted this induction kit eventually on friday. tone is only slightly deeper than standard under normal acceleration, but sounds lovely all the same.

but when you hit the mivec or under hard acceleration JASUS, it sounds like a jet engine :shock:

im still running standard exhaust, christ only knows what it will sound like with a decat and APEXI cat back :shock:

will put on me black diamonds and green stuff during the week

mustang its a surprisingly more responsive feel than standard through the powerband, gives me an extra glow when i hit the mivec :twisted:

but it aint got a patch on the batmobile ,lol

seriously though feels punchier, may be all in me head though, might try rolling road in a few month before i decide to add more bits, next on list is cooling the air :?:

............................. was wondering had anyone ever consider a refridgeration setup for further cooling incoming air........ just a thought ................. mad as it seems , lol.

The HKS is a lovely sounding induction alright - esp on the FTO Mivec - I would prefer it to the ITG myself - I've had both on the car.

The power gained by cooling the air would be offset by the power required to run the cooler so it wouldn't be worth it.

am thinkin more of a fire blanket setup impregnated with a micro refrigeration latice, now to run it............... but ill leave that for later........ first i need to solve the concept of cold fusion and perpertual motion :wink:

all joking aside might try try a 2 into 1 piping setup and metal spin a proper shaped funnel for the filter :?:

AL, if you funnel air from the front of the car via a sealed ram air style pipe then that will give a reduction in air temperature compared to collecting from the engine bay although im not sure on quantifying that :smt017

Your prob only talking about 2-3 bhp
Its only when turbo charging that management of incoming air temperatures becomes more beneficial eg massive intercoolers, water injection, etc

dave im well aware of this, but want to do a decent job and will try to quanify it too, im thinking of combining existing air inlet with another duct, it will probably come in from under the car, ill need a good fine mesh , but as you know this will reduce CSA, so ill have to oversize it, ive everthing at my disposal to manufacture this , just need the free time :roll:
