Long time no see I know. I hope you don't mind me posting this here but there is someone with an FTO related issue.

http://www.sxoc.co.uk/vbb/showthread.ph ... ost4036307
A friend of mine just sent me an email saying he's having som problems with his FTO mivec. Only mods are induction filter and exhaust.

His email is below if anyone wants to read and use their doctor skills to diagnose...?

when i'm not putting my foot on the pedal the car is slowing down alot more than usual. i'm talking at lower speeds 0-30mph. when it starts from cold itsjuddering a bit. feels like the engine is dragging too much? i was thinking maybe somethin up with gears or fuel not getting thru properly. i'm no expert tho lol also idle revs are dropping low and the car is juddering then too. needs a look at i think i've been doing alot of mileage and as the service history is a bit pants i dont know whats been done and when. the problem is not serious but i just want the car running sweet as a nut.

Cheers

Pat, best thing to do is to point him in this direction. Sounds like fuel filter, stepper motor or both.

This problem sounds a lot like mine! I found a good guide to cleaning the stepper at: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/jaycom/fto/engine/stepper.htm.
