hormonalness? alot of members?
Two things happen on this website since its launch.
1. you post the picture
2. You let the group know how much it will cost interested parties.
Simple, no hidden agendas its all free and freindly.
This is not a rule but it it is historically the way things go on the site. I think the above outburst is offensive to the majority of members and could be a turn off to potential new members.

It still is a friendly club dan and I expect it to continue in that vein.

I believe you have a certain style in terms of how you present information on the forum. I understand how people might interpret this as covert and misleading, even though this is not your intention.

This forum serves as a means to share information among like minded individuals, plain and simple. If you have a cheap and easy way to modify or improve an FTO, share it with the group.

I would encourage people to at least give some ball park figures in terms of the cost of mods, especially ones like this. Quoting list prices when you havn't actually spent the same money could be perceived as misleading. On the flip side, people shouldn't be forced into sharing information that they would rather not.

If you're giving out info freely, don't mislead.
If someone doesn't want to reveal specific information, don't press them on it.

All I can say is that d_dan seems pretty enthusiastic about his FTO and I think we should keep that spirit alive as that's what drives the forum and the reason for owning such a great car.
Sharing knowledge and info also but the FTO is strange in that you feel 'exclusive' owning one and many people want theirs to be totally unique to the next one. Most costs of bits and pieces can be found easily enough on the web with a bit of searching so not much point in being too vague about that.
I think a lot of people are really interested to see this car in the flesh and hopefully you will be at a meet in the not too near distant future with the new mods man.
Also try your best to do plenty of progress pics and post updates about the turbo in the knowledge base as often as you can as that will be a legacy of sorts for the betterment of the club and the FTO. I'd imagine that there will be a few teething problems along the way but hopefully not too many.
No doubt this car when finished will have cost a few quid (possible understatement!) and will be really rare. I remember myself and CJ went to see a showcar FTO in the RDS a few years back which was amazing. The guy actually sold it for £17k at the show. He was telling me afterwards that he probably spent 25k doing it up over the years :smt118
