Radio Removal

Hi all have just got my First FTO and want to change the radio as i have read so much about them and realy dont fancy listining to Radio 2 all day .

So can any one give me some info on how to get the old one out as i have read that it can be a problem . I have a Mivec with the factory fitted Mini Disk player


Any help appreciated

piece of cake really.

unscrew the gearknob.
pull gently on the gear gaitor surround and unclip the bottom clips of the panel surrounding the radio
disconnect the cig lighter and ashtray wiring
the top part of the panel is held in with 2 pins that sit into holes in the dash. be very careful handling the panel as they're delicate.
The radio is held in by brackets, you can remove the bracket by removing the 2 philips head screws on either side of the radio .
