It's not really worth any more than its weight in scrap. They're not sought after and from memory I can't think of another car that uses the same engine in non gdi form

What you want is a mivec GSR

how is it pointless its cheep anofe to make 150whp on the engine nopt much bottom end work just better bearings and bolts etc .

So your talking between 50-80€ or less in or around there better if is less hahaha. steal is very cheep in a scrap yard.

even a gsr block

A mivec turbo is alot more expensive proplem is bottom end in the 1.8s cant take much boost for very long and a gsr runs out of puff at 6000rpm mivec starts pulling strong at 6800 1800 rpm of noting hahaha so your talking custom mani turbo etc not worth the hassle

or if ya meant a gsr in a mivec no tanks mivecs are rare now compared to gsr colts asti,s etc hahaha.




as for making an fto 1.8 mivec haha i have a 1.6 rs mivec asti had an fto but that's now in heaven but the engine is alive in a colt


and just so ya no its a very popular conversion in PR and Malaysia and the have sub 14 sec 1/4 cars 1.8 na with a little bit of tuning

No i mean a Mivec head on a GSR block. Upgrade the turbo and and raise the compression to 8:5:1 but continue to keep the pressure at about 7psi
if you want to do something thats not a GSR conversion put a Mivec GPX engine in and there ya go 200 BHP. €1200 would see it complete id say.

Honestly though, I really don't think you'd pay big for one, not a whole lot of people look for them, and if one does go then people would nearly suss out about putting a GPX one in instead. Prob pick one up dirt cheap somewhere cause there should be an excess of them around.

I am doing that to the brothers car, cant both have the same engine, that would be 0 fun and i want to build an engine and not have what every1else has

Both rather expensive and technical options.
Presuming you are putting this engine onto a colt/asti - if I were you I'd be going the 2l V6 mivec route and just getting that running right.

Or you could just buy the FTO GPX I have for sale and strip the sh1t out of it - 1000kgs would be easily acheivable and would be a much cheaper option than the route you're looking to take - plus you'd have a good looking car for change.

hahaha. no thanks shane, ftos are just to big and im already at a 1000kg, a bit of work at be at 900kg


why is every one saying turbo, i don,t like them, id go supercharger as there cool,power from 0 rpm to what ever ya want,but i dislike boost

as for a v6 conversion, im in the process of doing my brothers colt to a 2l v6 mivec gpx, cant both have the thing done
