Nice car Jamie.

But a 215bhp claim is a bit OTT - how did you come to that conclusion - has the car been on a rolling road?

Haven't a clue bout the bhp. That was the figure given to me by the guy who owns it.

What are they standard???

What do ye think of the price ??
I don't think he's asking too much, its an exceptional car.

Yea its on Racershaven as well, price drop by 1000 euro, he's waiting on an Evo 8

197bhp

I think it's overpriced for a 1997 (even though it's a vR) - I'd only expect to pay around 10k depending on condition

I mean no offence by what i'm about to say but i would check the claim that it is a Version R out again the reason i say this is 3 fold

1) No version R seats ?????
2) Version R have HID lights and from the shot of the engine bay i don't see the control boxes that should be directly behine the lights (maybe just a bad angle i not sure)
3) it doesn't have digital aircon in the interior which is what a version R is supposed to be like but anyone can fit that type of dash in and maybe it was ordered like that originally ???

Again no offence intended but it just doesn't add up :smt102 :smt017

AFAIK a vR should have either Red, Blue or Black seat covers.....

Arent the factory HID boxes at the bottom of the lights? so you wouldn't see them from that angle, you've have to lean in and look under the lights from the back?

I know the non factory, added on HID boxes can end up wherever but I thought I heard somewhere the factory ones were on the bottom of the lights?

It has the xenon/hid lights

seats were changed by previous owner because of fag burns

lightweight version has no AC or folding mirrors

Well i did say it may be a bad angle. :D

As regards factory fit HID boxes if i recall correctly they are fitted right behind the headlamp unit if not fitted dirrectly to it so i figured that even from that angle of the photo some of the HID box should be seen is it russ that has the vR maybe he can shed some light (no pun intended) onto the suitation.

Minor correction, the GPvR has aircom but not climate control.
You can verify if its a vR by checking that the code HNFH3 appears next to the chassis number on the firewall.

You can just see part of the HID control box behind the drivers side headlight unit just follow the silver coolant pipe towards the lights.

Tried to post to this thread like 3 times... none seem to work :(

Manual Air con + no folding mirrors + Front Strut from standard GPvr .. smells like GPvR... Story about seats sounds a bit dodgy in my book... i'd rather the coloured seats over the standards regardless of a few burn holes :?
