Aus$28,000 is over €17,000..... a tad overpriced is right

It'd want to be gold plated to justify that.

Capable of 9500 revs? Wheres the extra 500 coming from?
Took out the mivec and replaced with non-mivec? Thats a bit stupid! The mivec is one of the best bits about the engine!

those are some serious mods..

Makes me wonder why the FTO was chosen as a platform if the owner new from the beginning he was gonna go that nuts..surely something rwd would have been more appropriate..

Then again I suppose part of the charm is that this FTO now is Radically different from other FTOs there - and that is why he's trying for 17k.. I don't for a second doubt that the owner hasn't spent that money on the car (including purchase).. I don't even want to think about what I'm poured into my one - it's not 17k but it's not as far off as I'd like it to be.

It does seem a bit mad to start with a mivec unit and replace it with a GR..but maybe something happened to the original unit that started the whole mod-ball rolling :-) - If I was to pick between Mivec or a Turbo today and my goal was speed over practicality/reliability - I'd pick the turbo..

17k for a 96 fto - that's a lot, but I understand why the guy is asking that amount..

WroOOUuum - psssssst!

Wasn't there something about the trojan crowd not supplying the peeps over on www.ftooc.co.uk - or am I mixing up stories?

You can't put a price on chav 8)
In all the blurb I see no mention of power.
I mean It's all very well adding all these performance enhancing parts, and listing them off, but to then not mention the end result i.e. the achieved power, is unforgivable!

Is that stupid low or stupid high :?: If it's not going to satisfy him I'd assume stupid low. Still no mention of an actual power figure.
OT those girls looks awfully pail, especially for the Aussie climate. Should've gone to summer bay and gotten some of those golden tanned young ones for the snaps. Some professional looking photos all the same.

That's an AB style bonnet - I had one but sold it recently to another forum member.. Mind you mind was a fibreglass copy - I'm not sure where you'd get an original. Every once in a while one pops up on eBay - expect to pay minimum 300e+shipping.

IMO it only really suits a car that has a bunch of other mods on it - when I did my test fit I thought it was a tad over the top.

Having said that I wouldn't rule out going for a CF bonnet in the not so distant future.

No offence to the two ladies in the picture - but I think the car would sell better without them holidng on to it - it's obviously some magazine shot or something - I've never fully understood the whole scantily clad women & car concept. Personally I have yet to meet a lady who's so attracted to the FTO that she just has to put on hotpants and go hug the bonnet whilst I take pictures.

I generally prefer my ladies to leave my car alone..tanned or not..
