More info needed Dan -

Whos supplying the SAFC Neo and where is the mapping being carried out?

Is a harness being supplied or is the installer tapping into the ECU terminals directly?

Is there any evidence that this combo will actually increase performance? In my experience, piggyback ECUs installed in the FTO offer little or no power gains, I've even seen dyno runs where they've reduced power. I'm scepticle (with good reason) but want to be convinced otherwise!

Note that you can get this unit shipped to your door for 270 euro (Nengun), 800 quid seems a lot to be paying (which I'm assuming doesn't incluce the fuel pump or FPR). If I was going to this expense and the hassle of installing an uprated pump, I'd be budgeting for uprated injectors - injector duty cycle is going to limit what will be possible in terms of power gains.

Just on the point of uprated injectors CJ - is it true that the VR4 injectors are a suitable FTO Mivec upgrade?

Personally I've always thought that after breathing mods - a Walbro fuel pump, FRP and Piggyback ECU along with the injectors would give you more power and a healthier Mivec engine. Like most things on the FTO - its not the individual mods - its the sum of the parts that make the difference - any choking points along the way and you're back to square 1.

Dan

Congrats on the new car.

For a man that was budgeting for the car, you sure are splashing out on mods that will have very little effect on overall performance.
Personally I would spend the money on Intake upgrade and suspension upgrade first. Unless of course these are already done.

It also seems a hell of a lot cheaper here

From what I can see the same pump is used on all of the mitsi upgrades.
