Music instruments shops

I'm looking at upgrading my bass amp & cab at the moment, something with a bit more power, but really need to try playing through the amp before I buy. The problem is the shops down here in Cork have very little choice when it comes to bass gear.

Any good musical instrument shops up the country? Dublin or elsewhere? I'll have a few days off the week after next so I could wander up somewhere and try out whatever gear they have in store.

There is a sound shop in mainstreet, Blackrock Co. Louth... I bought my guitar there recently, great array of stuff.

The Sound Shop in Drogheda is also good. Then the usuals in Dublin....Musician, Music maker etc

Thanks, sounds good. I'm not up on the Dublin music shops so any good names would be great.
