9.75 inches is far too wide a rim for an FTO - you would need a serious set of spacers to get the rims to fit and they would likely then be extending beyond the wheelarch.

He doesn't mention pcd or offset - this would be important to know if you are really interested. IMO they are not meant for an FTO - they were likely meant for something like a Supra - if they came off an FTO then it must have had coilovers and spacers on - it would surely rub against the OE spec dampers.

My advise would be not to touch with a barge pool for about 10 different reasons.

Getting the right rims is a long hard process.. Trust me I know... I've learnt the hard way... Once you have the alloys you have to get proper tyres...then there's the fitting...spacers - spigot rings aah the list goes on...

But hey...if you really want them.

make sure to check the off set...35 is good...
if you want to avoid spigot rings look for a centerbore of 67.1

Depends on the size of the rim - fine for a 16inch 6.5J rim but not good for a 17 or 18inch 8.5J rim for example (you'd need something circa 32-35 offset).

Both sizes are candidates for spacers - they'll fit alright but you may have one or two issues.
I bet its the same size rims that Muad bought - are these the Inovite/Rays Replica rims we're talking about?

Check this thread out for some further info - http://www.fto-ireland.com/forum/phpBB2 ... ht=spacers

They will fit alright and its likely you won't have any problems but its still not the correct offset for 17's. If you have any problems or feel the rim sits too far inside the arch then you could always add a 5mm spacer.

Derby, I wouldn't go near anything that isn't correct for FTO, keep the offset etc. the same as you could damage the gearbox and possibly put untold stress on other parts like suspension? etc. Max width is 8' at the back as I have, there is clearance but only just. My rims are fairly flush to the bodywork while offset is correct for FTO, it depends on the design of the rim I suppose. If you want a closer look at mine give me a bell.
As most alloys seem to be pretty heavy these days you may notice a loss in performance over those really light existing rims. Mine put about 70 kgs extra onto the weight of the car which is a lot. The only positive here is that are are pretty strong and havn't buckled on Irish roads yet.

Another piece of advice is to make sure you get a good quality wheel or you'll only end up spending money in the future on repairing buckled wheels
