still why u didn't go for different ones?
well I was gonna go for 17s at one stage, but Im actually really really happy with the ride quality I have now on 16s. The TEIN springs make the ride stiff enough so I can only imagine on 17s it would be a bit too bone shaking. The other reason was I wanted to keep the car standard and think the original rims actually look very well on the FTO. (they've grown on me for sure). The last reason was price
I was very impressed with the finish on the rims though. nice gloss. very well done. the pxwheels.com crowd obviously know what they are about.
Here is a post I put on a different board...
I used this crowd recently. Found the advertisement on ebay while searching for an FTO wheel as I had a kerbed one... The price was that good (sterling exchange rate) that I ended up buying a whole set of refurbished original rims.
This crowd PXWHEELS.COM basically send out the refurbished rims to a designated wheel centre. You drive along and get them changed over and leave your old ones there. They get sent back to PXWHEELS.COM and they refurbish them and sell them on to the next guy. The sending and and return of the rims is all included in the price.
The designated Irish centre is FS Wheels in Newry. Very easy to find and only took me 45 mins to get there from north Dublin. It's in a big industrial park and easy to find. The dude who changed the wheels over specialises in selling alloys so no problems there. paid his 50 sterling (65euro) for the change over. Total cost including fitting etc was approx 80 per wheel. They look brand new and the finish on them is perfect...nice and glossy.
I'd defo recommend them if you need to change a rim or two and want to stick with the originals.
