Can anyone hazard a guess as to whats the best way to fit the newer style spots and repeaters into the prefacelift bumper as the above guy seems to have managed - would a good bodyshop be able to fit the Lupo and MGZT lights into the prefacelift bumper or would you need some kind of mould made up???

I'd also like to know what people think of the Hiro spoiler on this car? I'm considering changing from the standard rear spoiler.

The spots look good with the pre-facelift bumper and the topmix lower spoiler. Don't like the Hiro rear spoiler or the veilside skirts though - IMHO subtle is best with the FTO.

Hmm - yeah I don't like the way he has blended the top mix skirts or the naff vent on the front wing but I think the Hiro rear spoiler would be a good match with the Top Mix front and either standard GPX skirts or DC skirts.

I think japco.co.uk will sell you a vr spoiler, not on the website though so you'd have to contact him. I couldnt be bothered searching the UK forum for the thread but certain I read that in a post over there... (I remember cos im thinking about getting one myself!)

Thats the problem though - I've already asked and been told that he doesn't ship outside UK - don't personally see why - probably something to due with shipping or damages during shipping I'd say???

Its an good idea - but most of the people I worked with in the UK weren't from the UK.

MyfeckinFTO, could you not buy the spoiler on an ex works basis. and arrange for courier collection yourself. Thereby removing all responsibility for shipping from Japco?

Personally I like the no spoiler look - goes really well if you've a bozz speed front bumper and a nice wide set of wheels - like the white uk FTO that's running an Evo conversion (can't remember the owners name but it's a well known car)

Have to disagree with you there Shane, I think the car just looks all wrong without a spoiler -it really transforms the appearance of the car for the better. I'm sure that's why the majority of FTO's left the factory with spoilers fitted. An unmodified FTO without spolier just looks cheap IMO...similar to an FTO fitted with plastic wheel trims!

In standard form I would agree it looks poor without a spoiler - but Shane has a point with regard to a low set fat FTO - When the car has been lowered and has a low front spoiler and nice side skirts and a good set of wheels with a large enough offset (Standard alloys offset puts the wheels too far inside the arches for my taste) - it can actually look better than with any spoiler inc Version R, Hiro etc nevermind the standard spoiler of which I am not a great fan of. Standard spoiler starts to look naff as soon as you start doing any cosmetic mods - As you say though Mustang - on an unmodified car you really need the spoiler.

Heres a picture of 1 from a recent meet off the UK forum (copyright username Fletch) - this car wouldn't look right with a standard spoiler.

Agreed, a standard car needs a spoiler but if you put on a nice set of subtle skirts (dc's) and a decent bumper (like the bozz speed) coupled with some lowering and a fat set of wheels the FTO can look better without the spoiler - the one I was thinking of was MarkFTO's car..... can't find a picture of it on ftooc right now...
