Six Month anniversery -18th Feb

Postby IrishPhoenix » Sun Feb 19, 2006 1:04 pm

Well yesterday was my 6 month anniversery from the day I first bought my FTO. It's been a good relationship so far except for some rocky starts with oil problems and the dreaded first time NCT (lol)

Yesterday I decided to go to Enniskerry and then up to Glendalough with the new other half (not the car that is :)) It was great to drive through the mountains though at times the old hard suspension didnt go down to well with herself. Got stopped then at a special branch checkpoint. The older cop was asking if we'd ever been to Glendalough before and she said she hadn't. The other cop spoke with another one, both holding Uzi sub-machine guns. Bit nerve racking really, when all of a sudden the cop turns around and says to herself, 'You stick with him girl, he has himself a lovely car there'! lol :)

Anyway, enough Sunday waffle for now :)

You know, somebody actually complimented me on my driving today. They left a little note on the windscreen, it said 'Parking Fine'.

Haahahaha Class..

Congrats on that 6months anniversary..and the new otherhalf.. :-) yay!

The only encounter I've had with the plod in the FTO was about a week after the purchase...

Yer man - look at my discs and went..."I assume you have her insured"...cue me starting to fumble about the car...eventually I find the contracts..so I hand him ALL the papers...disc still attached to last page..

He the starts reading the contract...

"Look like you got a good price there...Have a nice day"

I knew I hadn't done anything wrong...but I was still a bit sweaty as I drove off...
