Postby soc » Tue Nov 28, 2006 9:28 pm

Sold the gti today - bit out of the b lue actually as I've had a few jokers out looking in the past few weeks, had almost resolved myself to keeping her and was even pricing up coilovers and the like... now I get to go car shopping :)

I'd consider japanese again - something like an S2000 or an 350z but my wife is dead against soft tops so the S2000 is out and I can't afford a 350z :smt022

I did have a wild thought for a few minutes - an FTO + something like a TDI passat or A4 with a few years on as a daily driver..... but I just don't have the space for 2 cars...

So it's gonna be german for me again - probably a TT or an A4 -

Good luck with whatever you go with Shane, I'll be lighting a candle and saying a prayer in the hope that you'll return to your senses and get a Jap machine under your @rse :)

Big time... you can buy the hardtop second hand from the UK as well as owners of the GT model (which came with a hardtop) usually sell em. Here's mine with the Hardtop.... go on, you know it makes sense:

Test drove a very tight 2002 180 TT tonight - had a mate bring it home from ballsbridge motors. Solid as a rock, lovely to drive even if it isn't overly 'involving' but what suprised me most was it was a lot faster than I anticipated....

I think I'm gonna be in a german car again guys...
